 My ex-colleagues and I went to JB this afternoon, to jalan-jalan & makan-makan @ Jusco. In the car, Mis suggested a detour to Madam's house in JB, the driver for the day, to look @ her new semi-D house. There i was standing in front of the house..impressive rite!
Just waiting to be invited to her new house after it is completely renovated & fully furnished..i hope i dun have to wait for another 7 years..hehehehe

Today is the deadline for my last assignment, meaning no more school until my examinations...hurray!!

I was in school trying to complete my assignment when my phone rang. The number that appeared on my mobile had a +82 country code. It was a call enquiring about the availability of my room that has been occupied since July.My Korean ex-tenant has helped me to advertise the availability of my room in a Korean website, & the call was to enquire about it.
The caller, a 27 year old Korean, is coming to Singapore next month to further his university studies for 2 years.
I immediately said yes to him & we exchanged emails so that he can update me on his schedule to Singapore.
Well, now i have a difficult task to inform my present tenant, who still thinks that my house has other 'tenants' that he needs to leave by month end..hehe

It was a mad rush. The O level Art paper is on the next day..& my artists have been burning midnite oils & sacrificing sleep for the the last few days just to produce at least 8 to 9 pages of prep work. A few of them were still asking for advise & putting the last touches on their masterpieces. They left at 6.30am on the actual day of paper, with sufficient time to change into their uniform before sitting for 3 hours completing their actual piece.

 Attended an animation movie with my ex-neighbour this evening. It was part of the Animation Nation 2008 festival. It was attended by many tertiary students from relevant courses i supposed & a few art-farts..hehe

Was rather excited that he finally gonna have a consert in Singapore. Was looking for more kakis to attend his consert & i found a few in school. However, many cannot give definitely answers due to other commitments & other reasons. Therefore, a classmate & I decided to get the tickets first..& agreed that the highest that we are willing to pay is $120 for the tickets due to our status as a student. The most expensive ticket is $250 ...if only he had come earlier...hehe
Anyway, when we reached the SISTIC counter we were told..
$60-SOLD OUT!
$80-SOLD OUT!
$120 - SOLD OUT except for 2 restricted seats!!
Were contemplating to get that restricted seats, when we were those were taken too..
Now..$160 is the cheapest ticket available..& we cannot afford or we are not willing to spend that amount..
I guess i just have to listen to his CDs over & over again..& again

Was Q-ing for lunch this afternoon at a nearby foodcourt. It was almost 2, therefore there werent much dishes left. I was 4th in the queue, eyeing the fish tail in the asam dish..making me salivating already..but it was scooped by the makcik into the packed rice for the guy first in the queue.Anyway, i moved on to the only fish head left in the sambal dish..but that was too vanished, taken by the next guy in the queue..
My friends know that i love fish, even the makcik @my school canteen would reserved fish on days that she cooks them..
Aiyah..not much luck..i guess i just have to settle on the 'paru' -the lungs- my next favourite dish.

Woke up feeling famished this morning, & when i took the HL milk out of the fridge to eat with my granola cereals, i realised that its expiry date was yesterday, 22 Oct.
My guests always find expired products in my cabinets & fridge..hehe.. SO i decided to clear my fridge just now..all beyond its expiry dates.. 
1) mayonnaise
2) honey
3) Salad Dressing
4) Fresh Chilli paste
5) Fuji Milk
6) Jellos
7) Chocolates with fillings
8) Capsicum...hehe
9) My medicine
10) Candies..from my overseas trip ages ago..
11)..even mooncakes

Well..i bought this huge canvas when i was pursuing my Advance diploma last year. I have this ambitious desire to finish it & mount it by Syawal 07..however Syawal 08 is coming to an end & it is still blank. Looking @ my HC ex neighbour completing one after another of her masterpieces, really inspired me. After my examinations, i will definitely start on it.

Today is the 21st of October..also the 21st day in the month of Syawal.
Masa berlalu begitu pantas sekali, aku rasakan Ramadhan baru saja berlalu, dan sekarang Syawal bakal pergi juga. Ibadah Ramadhan dapat ku kerjakan sepenuhnya, Alhamdullilah, & Lebaran diraikan dengan sederhana.
Semoga aku dapat bertemu dengan Ramadhan pada tahun hadapan, Insya Allah.

I was invited to a good fren's house this evening. Well, he and his family visited me earlier this week, & was informed that they had moved into their new flat 3 months earlier.
I always like to visit new apartments, the newness..the smell ...

I had my 1st presentation for my Communication Skills module last week. We were to present a 3 minutes oral presentation, on the topic randomly given to us by our tutor.
My task - To embark on a USE YOUR HANDS CAMPAIGN
MY audience - Primary 5 students.
I think i did rather well.

Attended the outdoor refresher course today, there were 10 of us from ZH, ..from SL comm & the PE dept. I have had this license since 2002 & have been renewing it annually since. The course wasnt smooth sailing for me as i was sent off immediately at my final station. I was told to go for a retest before i could even start on the procedure because i did not not lock on the carabinas!!! I have not even started!! I did not want to create a scene, i know i could but i was bigger than that.

After i left ZH, i finally get to join in the Aidilfitri visiting of my Muslim colleagues.
1st destination! Finally i got to visit the house that appeared in my dreams 7 years ago..Madam's home.
We managed to cover 4 houses before we stepped into this palace. It really looks like a posh cottage in England, fit for the queen. With crystals chandeliers, roses blooming everywhere and candlestands ..wow i was overwhelmed ! Definitely not a home for the clumsy..hehe..Mr M, i was really impressed with your house..although its all your mum's doing, according to you.
The next house was mine, my last stop as they procceeded on to 2 more homes. Apologies to the ladies whose house i need to give a miss, cos i have a class to attend to.
Of cos the star of the visit was this handsome looking young boy, he's Madam Fau's son. I just hope he wont grow up to be a heart breaker...hehe..& he loves to be photographed too.Labels: Syawal 08

"Bang! Bang! boleh kasi saya $2", seorang budak lelaki bersuara disebelah saya
"Buat apa nak $2?" saya bertanya,
"Nak beli makan!" jawabnya selamba ..
"Bapak mana?" saya terus menyoal..
"Kat rumah..kasi saya $2 lah" dia terusan mencuba..
Basically that was the brief conversation i had with a young boy who asked for $2 when i was at TB plz on my way for class last nite.
When i asked on why he needed the cash, he replied he wanted to buy some food.
He looked decent, rather softspoken in nature and didnt sound like he was begging. He did it so nonchalantly that i almost gave him more than what he asked..but i didnt & walked away.
I looked back after a few steps and saw his mum coming out from a shop.
It made me wonder...
1) Was she in this with him..
2) He sounded so natural like he has done it many times
3) Does his mum knows about his begging..
I spoke to a social worker, who happened to be one of my students last nite. She said, she might just approach the mother to know the truth of the matter.

Padagogy in Education- thats the topic that my AED tutorial group presented this morning. It went smoothly as planned.
I suggested that we dressed up for the presentation & Ping, one of our group member , suggested pink...& that was why we were all in pink...hehe
 Anyway, I would like to thank all my friends for agreeing to be interviewed for my presentation.
Thank you Madam Tan, Madam Howe, Mr & Mrs Koh, and of course to Mr Lim, my ex-neighbour who didnt make to screening time due to many NGs..hehe..but thank you all the same.

Hari Raya is also a time when my friends & I get together 2 update on each others latest developments. This anual affair started when i first started teaching in ZH..way back when i was still in Jelapang ..
The only difference this year..is im no longer in ZH...but friends dun say goodbye..only colleagues do.
So this annual affair will go on..as long as i shall live.
According to LWQ, in Chinese culture,one shouldnt be talking abt death during such happy occassion. However, in Islam we are always reminded to be thankful every time Ramadhan arrives, coz God-willing, we might just see another Ramadhan..

Families..i am blessed to have a beautiful and loving family, especially during this Syawal..the month of Aidilfitri..
Coming from a large family of eleven siblings, Hari Raya is always a joyous and noisy get together..especially with my nieces & nephews, with the 20th, an addition a few months ago. Well, if u look at the sequence no.2 is missing, because my 2nd nephew passed away when he was 21 years old - 4 Aidilfitris ago.
Semoga Allah swt mencuhcuri rohnya..Insya Allah
I've always try to be an understanding & good uncle, not having the priviledge of knowing one when i was younger...
