Aku mula memulakan pembelajaran ku lebih kurang 2 tahun yang lalu..namun tanpa ku sedari..2 tahun itu akan berakhir dalam masa 2 minngu lagi.
Walaupun sukar...kekadang ku rasa seperti mahu melepaskan cita2 ku untuk mengenggam segulung ijazah itu, aku tetap cekalkan hati dan teruskan pendakian ku.
Insya Allah setelah peperiksaan terakhir ku pada 27hb April, akan aku melangkah ke alam realiti - mengajar, mendidik dan melentuh buluh-buluh, untuk menjadikan mereka insan-insan yang berguna di masa hadapan.
Walaupun aku akan ke sekolah yang sangat familiar buat diriku, aku pasti ada kelainanya kerana aku pulang sebagai seorang yang lebih berilmu setelah berinteraksi dengan teman-teman sekelas ku dari pelbagai latarbelakang dan kemahiran yang berlainan...

After the radio interview 2 weeks ago...i received another similar request again. A Ph.D student from Japan Women's University is doing a thesis on the different races in Singapore.
Miss Mayuko Saito is rather intrigued by the multicultural and multiracial Singaporeans living together...so she flew to Singapore to collect interesting data and research...while interviewing different age groups of different ethnic people in Singapore. She has been here for 2 weeks & will fly back to Kawasaki in a week's time. We met this afternoon, where our interview was recorded cos she did not want to lose any interesting details ..especially when she has gotten herself an interesting interviewee...HAHAHA...well i am glad that i could render my help..

Went karaoke last nite..it was first suggested early last year...by the pple from the the ALS module..then silence. Then it was initiated again before the year ended last year...again silence followed..haha.. Anyway..met up with Adillah and Lila the day before & the topic came up again..& we decided to go the next day. After many sms-es and maybes...we decided to go ahead with the plan. Final count. 2! After big names like Bumiputra rockers, Ella, Bloodshed, Slam, and an attempt on Dambaan!...& Indecent Obsession plus Bad English thrown in...we had fun. Singing our blues away...HAHAHAH.. It has been almost a decade since i started conducting Malay conversational classes in Community Clubs in Singapore.
I first started at a CC that has been closed permanently...haha.
I have travelled all around the island from Siglap CC to Bedok CC to Fuchun CC for these classes. Presently i have only 5 venues cos i have only 5 week nites available.
Anyway, in the course of these classes i have met many interesting people..mostly Chinese locals with a handful of expats and foreigners on short term employment, who are interested to learn my Mother Tongue. There were once a Nigerian lady, an Italian couple and sometimes our neighbours from our SEA countries like Cambodians, Thais and Pinoys.
I have make many new friends through these classes, even introduced one to a colleague..trying to match-make them but God have bigger plans for them & both have since found their life partners...hehe..
I have also brought a few classes to the Ramadhan Bazaars during the fasting month.
Anyway, brought a German student to sample one of Singapore most famous dish, the 'tulang' at Beach Road, another student went home to Spain so could not join us.
Well, the thought of some strange red-looking bone with the benefit of eating the marrow didn't quite appeal to him right away. However, he was polite with what he thought of the dish...but somehow it gave him ideas of what to get for his family and friends in German.
Instant local dishes like Laksa paste, chicken rice paste and the likes.
He also found something that German does not have..axe oil...hhahaha.

Went to another wedding yesterday afternoon...well its not JUST another wedding BUT...but thats a different entry altogether...haha...
It was a long journey to the east for the wedding..missed a bus but took the wrong bus instead..& wasted precious minutes waiting for another...half of my Sunday was gone..
As i was saying to someone after the wedding...its like an expecting mom-to-be having to travel a long and out of the city route to satiate a craving..HAHA..

Yesterday during the National Day celebration, the school has allocated 2 hours in the earlier part of the morning to fold the crane for the 'Rice that Binds' Charity Drive. Our class did our part and proudly managed to fold 3050 paper cranes ..which equates to 305000 grams of rice ..HURRAY!!
Well..it was also my last day in the school..

FINALLY...the last day of my LOA.

Finally i will be out to attend my niece's wedding tomorrow..YIPPEEE!!
One week at home is making me mad!

I was visiting my 4th sister yesterday afternoon..when the conversation went into marriage..again.
Anyway, it was the normal..when..when..& when..but it ended differently this time round.
My 8th year old niece sort of interrupted our conversation.
She: Uncle cannot get married yet!
My sister: Why?
She: ..because he still in school. A student cannot get married..
Me : Agree!..becos a student very poor..haha..

Pro-trim here i come..after a year hiatus, its time to visit it again. When school reopens next week..i will have to go back as a trainee teacher..all over again. I must look professional, 'teacherish' BUT not off-beat..hahaha.. Its like Rupunzel having hers cut by the witch...hehe..i know thats a little extreme lah!

 They have served me well.
Though i had them since 2007 but it was only recently that I have fully utilised and roughen them out.
Now that they are worn out and expired , i have to put them to rest.
May their sole rest in peace.
Well I have found myself a new replacement. They are more stylish that the older one. Firmer and more agile. I am sure they will serve me as well or even better than the old wrinkled ones. I am so looking forward to be in them. ..for a more satisfying performance. Labels: Fitness, Me

 My first trip to JB was on Sunday with my sisters and nieces and nephew to tailor-make our Malay baju for the coming Hari Raya. I have actually accumulated 3 different fabrics over the years but when Hari Raya arrives i will simply purchase a ready-made baju.
Well not this year..haha..with a niece's wedding coming in July, my sisters have a few bajus to make, plus the coming Aidilfitri..the seamtress actually had an approximately 12 bajus from us alone..thats good business.
Anyway, i went to a different tailor that specialised in men's baju. I tailored 2 outfits for me, 2 for nephews and 1 for my bro-in-law.
It will take till end of july before they are ready for collection..i supposed a week later they will not accept any more orders.
The 2nd trip on Tuesday was with OPS, more for makan and shopping...he as usual almost bought everything that he tried...haha..& trust me with the exciting exchange rate..he did help the Malaysian retail department...REALLY!!

Met up with Fauziah & Samad a few days ago, i think i have not met them since i moved to Jelapang...definitely more than 10 years ago..their eldest child is already 10 years ..& now they are expecting their 5th child.
Congratulations...well he could definitely afford more broods..holding a rather high postion in a global group of energy and petrochemicals company.
Finally met up with them, only after he was posted to Miri..although this wasnt his first posting overseas, this was the only posting that he took his families along with him..for 2years it seemed.
The children got along well with me too.Their eldest is a girl, followed by a pair of twins and the youngest is a boy..& i reckoned they are missing home already.

I have NOT run since i came back from my makan KL trip last week. Guilty. Guilty. Guilty!
Was all set to run Friday morning when something urgent cropped up that i need to rush to NIE for some admin stuffs..by cab of coz..haha.
Anyway, as encouraged by my HC ex neighbour I decided to run all the way back home after that..a little apprehensive at first but since Ive already dressed for the run..well, i might as well run..haha
I took the bus 172 route instead of the KJE since i cant be running on the xpressway.
Run Kahlo Run..out of NTU compound, i passed the SCDF Camp, the Muslims and the Jews cemetery.
Its getting hotter, its approaching noon...i passed the Tengah Air Base Camp..then i saw Home Team Academy, cleared it & i'll reach home in no time...BUT I WAS WRONG...approaching the nursery along Sungei Road..i PANICKED!!
There was no walking path...no path at all..the road was really narrow & heavy vehicles and 172s were whizzing past me fast & furious..I lost my orientation and focus..need to move to a safety area fast!! Lost my pace.
I stopped & lost my momentum..that i had to walk my way home..
Well..from NIE to Sungei Tengah Nursery..not a bad first attempt.
Next time i'll definitely reach CCK Ave3..hehe..my void deck would be my finishing line.

I am officially lighter... 8kg lighter to be exact of what i was 3 months ago..its slow but I am elated that I m losing it ..haha..quick congratulate me..hehe.
The weighing machine at home is always showing different readings, depending on its mood. Took my weight when i went for my 2nd Phase FFI yesterday afternoon..all the way to Changi Naval Base cos they have posted me to a new unit there. The medical centre has an accurate and more reliable machine & it was read & recorded by a medic whose main job was basically that..to take readings..temperature..weight..blood pressure..seriously ..haha..
Anyway, a little high on the blood pressure but nevertheless still healthy & fit enough - according to the MO - for my last IPPT..dun congratulate me please..
A friend suggested to me, perhaps i should aim for the monetary for this last IPPT.

This huge sculpture spells exactly that. Made from pillow-like material, it is by an Indonesian artist being displayed now at the Esplanade. Bring your love ones there if u think u are too shy to say it out loud..hehe..suggestion only lah!
 Another exhibition is a mural display along the MRT underground tunnel leading from the Esplanade. Go check it out. I have my opinions on such display..but go see it urself!

Received my last bday present last nite.

In previous years, we would exchange gifts way in advance, as early as March but as we are not working under the same roof, it has been difficult...to give or receive...hehehe...
Trust me..getting a gift for a Taurus is definitely no easy feat!

 Fancy meeting my friends from BSS of year 1989, in a Mall not far from home.
We last met 10 years ago when i first moved to Jelapang in 1997, well that was 12 years ago to be exact.
Last nite, they were supposedly from an exercise class But looking at the consumptions of calories laden sumptuous spread on their table, they might just need to sign up for more classes...hhhahahh...seriously Ros!!
 Anyway, it was always good to meet up with 'long-lost' friends. All of them are in different fields now, one deals with counselling emotions, the other nurtures the future while the other deals with the quest of multiplying $$ for others & himself...haha
 Of course we exchanged contacts, again, & made promises to meet up again soon BUT I really hope that i dun have to wait for another decade for another meet up.Nice meeting u guys again. Well if u have read these ..please leave a signal..haha

I was looking at all the photos from the other nite.
A good fren of mine told me that she has STOPPED taking POSED photos cos its UNNATURAL, INORGANIC and rather INERT!
So I decided to compile and compose a montage of the 'NATURAL-EST' photos...no expensive lens or equally pricey cameras...no gifted eyes...no special angels or focused focus watever...hehe...but enjoy them nevertheless.
