..another burnt saturday..but its OK I am killing 2 birds with one stone.
My artist are finishing their coursework while my cadets are rendering their service to the 5-a side Children Soccer Challenge. Anyway..the NCOs were supposed to be in full-uniform but the GOH couldnt make it ,so mufti would be more practical and more comfortable. They were some national footballers present this morning but only those who follow the local football scene would know them. I was trying hard to remember their names only because they looked remotely familiar. When the children were taking turns to have their photo taken with them, one of our AVA student included , one of my cadets asked, " SIR, WHO IS HE..??"...well i dun blamed him..

..still in school @ 2.25pm ..an extended stay after last nite's POP-more on that in my next entry-my artists are still struggling to meet the dateline which has long due..
Received an sms that brought tears to my eyes;
"Sir, everything ok in school? Hope u had a good farewell with the kids. As for us, there will never be farewell!"
..i suddenly felt chocked with emotions..in another 2 weeks, my daily routine will change, the people i will meet will not be the familiar faces for the last 7 years..my jokes might not be understood by my new acquitances..i will definitely miss my NPCC cadets and my artists especially...AND OF COZ MY FRIENDS in the staff roomLabels: Me, npcc

As I was clearing the drawer in the art room, i chanced upon this photograph taken way back in 2003 during our 1st ever NPCC overseas trip. It was taken when we reached the peak of Mount Ophir..it was definitely an imperative moment & an achievement for me to succcessfully scale, what is arguably the most climbed mountain in the Malaysia, despite it having one of the higher climbing fatalities in the region of South-East Asia. It was also supposedly to be our Maam Tan's debut outing with us..but due to an unforseen circumstance she wasnt able to join us. Till now, she is still wondering whether she would be able to ascend to its peak...
Anyway, what was most disconcerting about the photo was how much the cadets have grown over the years..just look at our newly minted Officer Lee way back then...hehe. Not forgetting our dear colleagues!! Could u identified the two circled individuals in the snapshot below..

Finally found the ring i lost during the NCOs camp 2 years ago. It was in 2006, ZY & gang's batch, when i absent mindedly put it in the toiletries bag after shower & forgotten all about it. I found it while packing for the SL trip...hhehee..well i guess i'll find more lost items after i finished packing my office table. Labels: npcc

After the meeting on Monday @ my place, ZW & KW announced that it will be their birthdays the next day. Yes, they shared the same birth date which they discovered only earlier this year. KW suggested they could celebrate with a cake the next day @ the same venue..well why not..hehe..

Only Bren decided to show up..but it was definitely a memorable bday for both ZW & KW coz they get to sample my culinary skills..my 1st ever.. Well on my bday last month, I received a sleek looking rice cooker & 2 packets of rice from my beautiful friends. So I tot, it was the best time to try out my new toy after i have found myself 3 willing guinea pigs...hehe...no offence

It turned out well, better than i have expected. My first attempt in cooking chicken rice was a success, together with baby kailan with minced chicken in oyster sauce and grilled chicken. Yummy if u should ask me...hehe ..Ask my guests too. They would definitely agree!Labels: npcc

Yesterday was the much waited gerls' category in the campcraft competition, after it was postponed from many weeks ago. Luckily for us, the weather was fine & sunny in the morning, coz it poured heavily later in the afternoon. Another postponement was inevitable for the other units gerls' team slotted in the afternoon, that the results will also be announced later next week, from the initial Monday. For our gerls team, well done for the team work. Altho' the flag pole was slightly skewed..even tho' the flag pole almost hit one of the gerls.. twice... always remember winning is always a bonus.. Last Friday, accompanied by OPS and SBS, we went on a Heritage Trail... actually prep for the heritage proficiency badge. The cadets have to complete a booklet project, consisting of 3 sections which carries 60% and a written test that completes the 100% weightage.
We were lucky for the good weather which made the roving and the exploration of the heritage trail route bearable. Dateline for the project is 28 march 2008, also the date of the test. GOOD LUCK ALL! Labels: npcc

Another burnt Sunday..
Anyway, brought my cadets to the Kranji War Memorial this morning for the Remembrance Day to pay homage to those who made the supreme sacrifice so that the generations that followed could live in peace. It was short, solemn and meaningful.
After the Remembrance ceremony, we proceeded to Kranji Beach Battle Memorial where the SAF Veterans' League laid the wreaths in honour of fallen comrades.

PXY by shamkahlo
Woken up by an SMS that read, Good morning, ur blog is done! Pleasantly surprised, my blog has a new skin now. I've chosen it the nite before but didnt expect PXY to be proficiently adroit to have complete it in the shortest time. I think i make a very difficulty client..hehe..but he was patient and adept. Thank very much.
But of coz i cannot ignore the contributions of my talented artists, Jews, Jyo and Eewin, who have helped me started this blog, and my dexterous technical hand, Eudy. Thank u all.
My first compliment was from Shaggyfish, who agrees that my new blog is more befitting to my personality. I concur! Labels: ART, npcc

This foto was taken after the TD celebration, my seniors, always full of zeal and enthusiasm, both during work and play.
However, a character becomes a topic of queries. He was cross-hatched, his own request, as he was equally puzzled, afraid to be misunderstood, as he did NOT show the same gusto as the rest..unlike him. Why the isolation? Where's the zest? Why the rejection? Why the gloominess? GUESS WHO? Labels: npcc, Ramadhan 07
