I was at City Hall last evening to pick this little present for my HC ex-neighbour who is also my my confidant and my 'lepak kaki'..hehe..
She's leaving to a greener pasture, but coincidentally i am leaving too..to the same venue , but the BIG difference is she's gonna be a tutor there while me a student.
I really hope she will like this little beautifully wrapped gift.
Friends dun say goodbyes only colleagues do..how true.
 Anyway , i bumped into a stylish and well-dressed soon-to-be-ex-colleague, so while waiting for my fren, i joined her for dinner.Well she had so much grouses and gripes to voice, to anybody who dared to listen...hehe..
My HC neighbour always commented that i am a good listener & i proved it once more last nite. Basically, we spoke about people who are leaving...about recent happenings...well i guess some were too confidential to reveal...hehe.. Alrite..need to stop here coz i got packing to do..goin on an NPCC trip to Perak..miss me not!! Will continue when i return..good nite.

It was my first extra class with my O level students , after their very intensive MT classes for the O level Papers. Attendance wasnt encouraging, but i was glad they came. They were still embarking on their developmental prep work while the actual stitching and pulling were done behind scenes. New deadlines were given to dye their fabric, & another appointment made for next week. They have to complete everything...yes EVERYTHING..before i leave...before i can leave with an ease of mind..hehe

I was in school today to hang more paintings around the school compound.
My form class started it last week around the ramp area, as part of their CIP. Now the school looks stunning and vibrant with the vivid-coloured canvas paintings, a project the secondary 2s embarked on last semester.
Thank you 2E1!
I would also like to thank SBS for giving up his free periods, during post exams, to help us with the knots and the lashing.
Well, the art room was also decorated with the canvas paintings.
Now i hope that the room would provide an inspiration to my O levels artists to complete their course work soon..hopefully

It was a day of games to foster camaraderie between schools under the same cluster.
However, there were definitely catfights..bruises , blood and sweat.. more about that..
I was the captain of the telematch & i started rather well with the skipping rope..i was called graceful by a colleague..hehe.. we were close to winning but 1st runner up was already an achievement!
Like i always told my students, winning is always a bonus...
The games included futsal, floorball, captain's ball and basketball.
Well, the ladies basketball was the most interesting as it turned from friendly to fiesty and ugly. It brought out the bitches in my colleagues when the opponents turned brutal & physical and forcibly using their BO as part of their defensive strategy. .well our team came in close 2nd.
U go girls!!

Yesterday was our school's annual cross-country, also family day for parents & staff.. Many staff took part , even our ever sporting & supportive principal.It was also a fund-raising drive to help raise enough to convert our under-utilised rifle range into a multi-purpose hall.

I went to Mac Donald for supper last nite with my nieces and nephews..also to give them the candies i bought from Bangkok ..didnt stay too late cos i need to wake up early for cross country the next day..i guess when school hols starts next week onwards , i will have more time to spend with them.

I was thrilled when i knew that another art teacher was coming on board but it was shortlived..she was my colleague for less than 6 months when another golden opportunity flew by.. now she's heading to Dubai where her hubby is posted.

I was in the staff room when i saw a poster on my colleague's cupboard. A new movie, by Takeshi, titled Accuracy of Death in Singapore, loosely translated from its original title. However it was called Sweet Rain elsewhere in other parts of the world..so my colleague and i decided to goof around. Grabbling an umbrella and a little creativity...& wahlaa..the result below..hehe

Aku masih menunggu jawapan dari NIE, sama ada pemohonan aku untuk melanjutkan pelajaran ku di peringkat lebih tinggi diterima atau tidak. Hari demi hari, soalan yang sama dilemparkan kepada ku , daripada teman sekerja ku, daripada pelajar-pelajar ku ..kekadang daripada ketua & kepala ku.
Setiap kali temanku yang memohon kursus yg sama menelefon ku, aku akan terus bertanya soalan yang sama.."dah dapat surat?"
Semakin dekat hari jawapan itu terjawab, semakin bercelaru fikiran ku. Walaupun, aku ingin sangat mengengam segulung ijazah, 2 tahun yang bakal ku tempuhi pasti banyak onak durinya. 2 tahun tanpa kestabilan kewangan bulanan yang aku nikmati sekarang, tanpa riadah serta kegiatan NPCC yang dapat menenangkan fikiran setelah lelah berkerja, tanpa teman-teman rapat ku yang dapat ku berborak untuk menghilangkan tekanan..
Aku masih menanti dengan penuh degupan, pernantian yang terasa amat panjang...terus menanti...
Insya Allah..segala yang terbaik akan kukecapi.

I spent the Vesak Day long weekend in Bangkok with my 2 good friends. Our last trip together was in 2006 but this is my 6th trip together with OPS and 3rd trip together with my HC neighbour to Thailand.
These fotos were taken when we were taking refuge in a Chinese restaurant right after dinner. We have to order a teapot of chrysanthemum tea to wait for the rain to stop.. that was when my HC neighbour meddled with my new toy & had these shots taken. I felt like i was being interviewed by a tabloid magazine..hehe

I was invited to judge a Children's Art Competition yesterday, organised by a kindergarten in the North area. The competition was divided into 2 categories, 4-6years-old group & 7-8years-old group, with a theme given.
The judging wasnt difficult as any art piece with an adult's interference or involvement was immediately disqualified.
The winners will be announced this Sunday, however i am unable to attend the ceremony cos i will be in BANGKOK for the long weekend, with my 2 good frens on a shopping trip!
Of coz there will be plenty of makan, more shopping & perhaps spa treatment too...hehe.
Will post some more when i return...dont miss me!!

Went for another round of makan last nite, with the EXCO of the SL Com. The makan session was to congratulate each one of them for a camp well-run and of coz, for the sweat & tears involved especially in the running of the amazing race...40 stations were no joke!!
We had fun posing for the camera after the makan with a full tummy & a joyous mood. Like i always mentioned , tho the food was good the company was better..hehe

My friends came over to my humble abode to celebrate my birthday last nite. The initial plan was that each guest are task to cook one dish for dinner. Miss Q decided to prepare her signature dish of black pepper chicken that she marinated overnite, it tasted just heavenly.
My 2 ex-neigbours were to collaborate and prepare the famous Hainanese Chicken rice and a healthy mixed-mushroom soup..however it was not meant to be. They decided to mix everthing and have steamboat instead, as it was simpler and less time consuming. Thank you LLS for doing the marketing & for that yummylicious strawberry cake too. It was superb.
Well, i simply ordered pizza ..just in case.. Thank you also for that practical yet HC gift. Its gonna be my latest toy @home . Thank you Mr H for that stylish LeSportSac..love it..love it..love it!  In addition,there was a surprise waiting for me at my void deck , they had been waiting for a few hours but too diffident to join in the mini celebration. Thank you SBS and Zuhai, for the present which they left at my doorsteps , wat if my neighbour took them instead...hehe... Both of u shouldnt have..but really appreciated them..thank you very much. Attended a graduating exhibition @ NAFA with WL yesterday ,after he disappeared for a good 3 months fulfilling his obligation as an NS man.Anyway, one of the work exhibited was Nic's, an ex-cadet who will be graduating with a diploma in Publication Design soon. His works were very impressive. He has the potential to be an illustrator too, & although he wasnt an Art student in school, he put many of my present art students to shame..hehe. Will include some of his work in my next entry. Anyway, went to a halal-certified makan place after the exhibition for a birthday dinner treat, courtesy of WL. I felt so honoured..but the food was a disappointment. The Mazgribi Chicken dish that i've ordered reminded me of a Malay void deck wedding on a boring Sunday...no fault of WL..hehe Thank you sir for the dinner. Labels: Friends

Last nite ..i had my 1st birthday celebration with my family which include my many nephews and nieces. This is an annual affair where we would get together and try a different makan venue, update each other and realized how much my nephews and nieces have grown.
The idea of giving their uncle a carefully wrapped present, they have chosen personally made receiving even more meaningful. I just love looking at their innocent smiles and care-free persona when asked to pose for a foto with their uncle.
Thank you all.
A nephew who turned 19, had just completed a month of National Service. He wanted to give me a treat with his first pay for my bday.
Sweet rite!?..i think so too...
Anyway by the time we finished our dinner, chatting and playing, it was past midnite already.
However, ever so persistent he was, 4 of us plus 2 of his cousins, we managed to catch a 1.15am show in town. Altho' the show was lame and my younger nephew slept almost thru out the movie, we promised to do it again, better choice of movie and time..hehe
...and finally i would like to thank my HC ex neighbour who have patiently coached me to maneuver and discover the magik of transforming these pictures into fantastique mosaic effect.

I went for a shoulder massage just now, a service provided by SWC during this marking period.
Posters were plasted everwhere screaming: 20 MINS for $12!!
Well, it was the most painful 20 minutes of my whole life!
He said it needed to be painful to be effective.
He commented on my stiff neck and all that i can concentrate was the pain ..
He advised me to keep away from Coke..
WRONG! I dun drink coke!!
He also said that i should sleep less in an air con room.
WRONG! Fan makes me shivers..what more an air-conditioned room at night
I felt cheated..how can i trust him if all his presumptions were wrong..

Last nite, before my class, i asked for a duster at the counter so that i wont be embarrassed just like last week. I also hope that i wont be so easily distracted again..
However..she came in a even lower cut dress that my ex colleague, AK, would approved. AK msn-ed me last week after reading my blog & requested to attend my class. I said, 'Sure!...with your Mrs??...hehe.
Anyway, I told the class that i have to postphone the class next week cos its my Big day & my friends wanted to do something for me.
'...oooh happy birthday!' the same lady said, '..i also want to do something for you..!' she cooed...left me speechless

I went to Ikea last nite and bought myself a coat stand. My bags always cover the whole floor area of my study room, making the room all messy and unsightly. With my new purchase, all my bags could be hung and make the room neater too. Another problem arises tho, one stand is just enough for my crumplers only..what about the other brands too.  One of my favourite contestant leaves today. Brooke White reminds me of Tori Amos and Carly Simon with her wholesome image and earnest disposition, especially when she strums her guitar or playing the paino.
My RI ex neighbour loves her too.
It was an emotional exit for her. She teared when Ryan announced her elimination. In between heavy sobs, it was almost impossible to finish her final song. I felt for her, i m gonna miss her.
Well..i think the two Davids will be in the final 2!
