Tribute to Jane Goodall ( Oil on Linen)
'JANE GOODALL will be in town and she is giving a talk ', my lecturer announced! Jane is a well-known primatologist, enthologist and enthropologist. She is best-known for her study of chimpanzee social and family life.
I think her talk will be rather relevant for artist and art educators alike . Goodall was instrumental in the study of social learning, primate cognition, thinking and culture in wild chimpanzees. Theres a similarity here as in creating contemporary art, because hand movements are more authentic for there is no involvement of the brain. The outcome is rather Surrealist. A style in which fantastic visual imagery from the subconscious mind is used with no intention of making the artwork logically comprehensible.
