We had an interesteing debate this morning during tutorial. In our Communication module, we were give a motion on how much Singlish should be accepted in our teaching in class. The class were divided into 3 groups, the proposition-thats me!-, the oppostion and the judges, made up of 3 rather well-read and intelligents ladies.
It went out longer than expected that even our tutor Dr SH, found it amusing and enlightening. Our tutor is a Taiwanese who has spent much of his educational life in Canada.
When we asked him wat was his opinion on Singlish, being very new to the langauge & all..
His reply..." Its rather cute!" ..an unexpected but sincere answer...heheLabels: Ramadhan 2008
